Ping Le Regeneration Master plan, Phase 1 Qiong Lai, Sichuan, China. An Ancient Town Reborn.
Ping Le Phase 1 regeneration development has been a highly commended heritage project in South West China. One that not formed the catalyst for future regeneration of an existing ancient town in China. But one that would bring together the developers and the community in forming a sustainable community lead tourism destination in its own right.
It was the first development of its kind whereby we encouraged the developer to pre-sell the commercial space, which resulted in an accelerated build with 98% of the total floor area being pre-let. The results of the development are shown below in the as built gallery. This scheme won a plethora of awards and invitations from around China for te practice to carry out more schemes and consult on a large number of other schemes. 'Ping Sha Lou Yuan' as the project is known was voted best place to visit in the National Holiday, with upwards of 50,000 visitors over the National Holiday break when it was opened.
