Zhang Jia Jie Tourism Hub Master Plan

Master Planning and building design for a new area of Jiang jia Jie, to provide a tourist gateway to the Tianamen Mountains. Famed by the hit film Avatar, there is an aspiration to provide a theme park on the subject. Although the areas natural beauty was important in providing a futuristic vision for the city.

As a tourism hub this new master plan is to provide the starting point for the influx of tourists to the area, which until quite recent had been fairly inaccessible. Now with the advent of new rail links and a new airport, the Tienanmen area is now open for business. 

Taking the local beauty and land forms into account we designed a range of buildings that express what is to come. These include Hotels, offices, shopping malls, bus station, avatar theme park, public exhibition spaces, squares, markets and residential.

The idea being that a tourist can find everything they need from entertainment, to tour companies, hotels etc, all in one place. A land mark gateway to a landmark paradise.
