Bedford Court, Horsforth, Leeds is a new build development comprising a 42 bed Care Home (as well as 11 Close Care cottages) and communal facilities built upon a compact and technically challenging brown field urban site.

The character and form of the scheme has been informed by its surrounding context and street pattern with naturally lit accommodation arranged around a secure courtyard providing an orientating device for residents with dementia.  Flexibility was built-into the scheme to enable pairs of individual bedrooms to readily be converted into apartments to ‘future proof’ the buildings use to enable the client to respond to changing market and care provision requirements.
