Listed Building and Conservation Area consent were obtained for a client who wanted a sympathetically designed minimalist, modern house extension to their Grade II listed terraced home in York.

The house extension design transformed a previously dank unused rear yard area employing an inverted glass roofed and walled infill design to form a pleasant & usable family room directly onto the garden, linking with and maintaining natural light into their existing kitchen area.

The project also addressed the tanking of and refurbishing of their large damp basement and re-modelling of the house to meet their requirements for modern family living.
